Promoter of the competition	Jabal Omar Development Co. Makkah Al-Mukkarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented through Sheikh Abdul Rahman Abdul Qader Fakieh
Site	The Jabal Omar Development is located within the center of the city of Makkah. The site, which covers an area of approx. 23 ha, faces the western side of the Haram.
Project content	The aim of the project is to prepare architectural design guidelines for the Jabal Omar Development. The competition addresses the design of buildings of appox.340,000 sqm GFA (up to 42 levels) on three exemplary plots.
Procedure	The competition is organized as a limited, single stage project competition with four invited participants.

Prizes and fees	The total amount of prizes is 200.000 USD: 1st prize: USD 125.000 2nd prize: USD 75.000 A flat rate fee of 100.000 USD is payed to each paticipant in respect of expenses incurred. Travel costs for the paticipants' colloquium will be reimbursed.
